Girls Get IT
"Our company is proud to support programs like WIT’s Girls Get IT that help young women understand and expand their potential as future leaders in the technology industry."
Girl Get IT: Where future innovators connect with today’s technology leaders.
As part of the WIT Foundation, Girls Get IT collaborates with the Georgia business community to inspire girls in middle and high school to choose careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
Why is it important to encourage and support middle and high school girls who are interested in STEM? Because the statistics are alarming: America lags behind other nations in the number of students majoring in science and engineering at colleges and universities, according to the National Science Foundation. Additionally, women make up just 9 percent of those receiving engineering degrees. But with your help, we’re changing that statistic.
