Michael Gallivan, Ph.D
Mike Gallivan is an Associate Professor in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. He holds a Ph.D. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, where his dissertation research focused on the organizational issues involved in managing the transition from mainframe-based software development to client/server development.More
Professor Gallivan's larger research program has examined how organizations adapt to using technological innovations such as CASE tools, client/server development, and groupware. He examines the interaction between individual-level attributes and the management implementation strategies employed within specific firms to develop insights into the determinants of technology implementation outcomes.
Professor Gallivan is currently investigating how organizations can develop sustainable competitive advantage through judicious use of outsourcing IT, and how they develop effective partnership relations to manage such relationships. He is also currently investigating how groups of technical workers learn in their jobs.

Debabroto Chatterjee, Ph.D
Dr. Dave Chatterjee is Associate Professor in the Management Information Systems department at the Terry College of Business, The University of Georgia, USA. Driven by a mission to positively impact practice, Dr. Chatterjee engages and influences senior IS executives through presentations, panel discussions, debates, and consultations. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Society of Information Management (SIM) Atlanta Chapter since 2005 and was elected Chairman in 2008. He was nominated for the SIM 2009 Leader of the Year award and is the Co-Chair for SIMposium 2010, the SIM international conference.More
Dr. Chatterjee’s research has been published in premier academic and practitioner journals such as MIS Quarterly, California Management Review, Communications of the ACM, and the Journal of Management Information Systems. Highlights of one of his recent works on ERP driven organizational transformation is scheduled to appear in the Wall Street Journal in March or April of 2010. Transformation of the enterprise through digitization, measuring and communicating the business value of IT, and reducing the disconnect between business and IT are some of his main areas of interest and expertise
He has been recognized for innovative teaching on the University of Georgia homepage in 2008 and also received numerous teaching accolades and honors such as the Outstanding Executive MBA Professor of the Year in 2007 and UGA Outstanding Teaching Faculty Honoree in 2005 and 2007.
Other notable accomplishments and recognitions have come in the form of the Boeing Faculty Fellowship award in 1998, nomination and selection to the UNCTAD roster of E-Commerce experts in 2000, and appointment to the Fulbright Senior Specialists Review Committee for IT in 2005. He has served on the editorial board of major research journals and given talks at premier institutions and conferences such as the Center for IS Research at MIT, Duke University, The Boeing Company, Hearst Corporation, Infosys Inc., International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and SIMposiums 2003 and 2008.
Colleen Somerville
Colleen Somerville is a Talent Consultant at Cox Communications, Inc. in Atlanta, Ga. She supports the Technology organization, specifically Product Technology and Enterprise Solutions groups. She is responsible for selecting and securing key talent for Cox Communications' wireless initiative. She is recognized for client relationship, candidate screening, and offer negotiation. Prior to joining Cox Communications, Colleen held a contract engagement with The Home Depot. Colleen Somerville has over 10 years in the IT Staffing Industry, including onsite and project staffing as well as Recruiting Management with The People Network, Inc. Her extensive experience includes designing, implementing and managing a full-lifecycle recruitment process.
Her talent acquisition experience includes information technology, telecommunications, retail, and finance industries. She seeks resources who provide real solutions with real results to her clients.
Mrs. Somerville holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University.
In Atlanta, she is active in her community working with families of special needs children.
