Responsible for the overall planning and execution of Outreach in alignment with the Strategic and Annual plan. Reports directly to WIT’s Executive Director.  Goals include driving sponsorship dollars and participation in WIT programs.  Overall responsibilities include:

• Participating in monthly Program Manager meetings facilitated by the Executive Director
• Attending the WIT Leadership Team Workshop (February 2010)
• Developing and implementing the Annual Plan for the Outreach program area
• Reporting on key metrics including number of participants in programs, sponsorship dollars, etc.
• Serving as the principal guidance resource for the Outreach team
• Attending monthly Program Manager meetings and providing report on program area including information gathered by the program area team
• Disseminating information to all members of the Outreach program area as requested by the WIT Executive Team
• Tracking the sponsorship pipeline of target organizations and related action items
• Manage the Outreach budget
• Submitting draft budgets for the Outreach program as requested for the WIT Finance Committee budget process
• Ensuring that all members of the Outreach program area are completing their assigned responsibilities providing training and guidance as needed
• Work with Executive Director to place volunteers and direct their efforts

The Events Sponsorship Support Team is responsible for supporting WIT Events (WIT Connect, WIT Awards, and WIT Forums & Socials) by soliciting sponsorships and managing relationships with sponsors signed.

Chair

Responsibilities of this position including setting the overall direction and execution of the Events Sponsorships Support Team, working with the Outreach Program Manager to ensure program consistency and fit within the Outreach programs and the WIT Strategic and Annual Plan.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensure processes and procedures are documented, implemented and followed by all program volunteers
• Train the Events Sponsorship Support Team
• Identify criteria to qualify potential Strategic Alliance companies
• Maintain all information and updates within WIT’s database (Salesforce.com)
• Work with Executive Director to place volunteers and direct their efforts
• Attending the WIT Leadership Team Workshop (February 2010)

Sponsorships Support Team

Ideal candidates for this role will have previous volunteer service with WIT and experience in sales to all levels of management including executive decision makers.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with Development Team to meet sponsorship goals for each event
• Cold and/or warm calling to sell sponsorships
• Qualifying prospective sponsors
• Coordinate with Event teams to be sure sponsor benefits are given and deadlines for marketing opportunities are met (logos, ads, website collateral, etc)
• Maintain all information and updates within WIT’s database (Salesforce.com)
• Partnering with WIT’s Executive Director, Board Members, and Outreach Program Manager to keep sponsors engaged with WIT

The Strategic Alliances Team is the execution arm of Outreach and is designed to provide business development and account management to Strategic Alliance Partner companies.

Account Managers

Ideal candidates for this role will have previous volunteer service with WIT and experience presenting to executive management.  

Additional responsibilities include:

• Manage at least 3 Strategic Alliances serving as primary contact with at least monthly communication to each
• Maintain all information and updates within WIT’s database (Salesforce.com)
• Partnering with WIT’s Executive Director, Board Members, and Outreach Program Manager to keep Strategic Alliances engaged with WIT

Chair

• Attending the WIT Leadership Team Workshop (February 2010)

Development Team

Ideal candidates for this role will have previous volunteer service with WIT and experience presenting to executive management.

Goals include:

• Bringing at least $10,000 in sponsorship dollars to the organization
• Recruiting participants for Executive Coaching and Careers in Action (3 participants per program each year)
• Additional responsibilities include:
• Cold and/or warm calling to set up meetings
• Qualifying prospective Strategic Alliances
• Attending initial meetings/presentations
• Maintain all information and updates within WIT’s database (Salesforce.com)
• Partnering with WIT’s Executive Director, Board Members, and Outreach Program Manager to keep Strategic Alliances engaged with WIT
