WIT Connect is back with a new format this year! To assist you in participating and supporting the cause, we have created an FAQ below that contains all the essential information. Our annual fundraiser now has a more casual vibe. Still, our aim remains the same: to bring together our diverse community of technology leaders and professionals while raising funds for WIT’s programming that empowers women and girls to excel in STEAM from the classroom to the boardroom. Check out the details below to learn more about the event. 

Where and when does WIT Connect happen this year? 

WIT Connect is Thursday, May 2nd at Topgolf in Midtown (located at 1600 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW Atlanta, GA 30318) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This event will be packed with fun and fundraising and feature an impressive lineup of leaders in our Executive Auction. Leaders in the executive auction and applicable sponsors will also attend the VIP Reception that afternoon. The dress code is casual and an excellent opportunity to wear your company logo gear!

Who is attending the event? 

WIT Connect is well-known for including an impressive lineup of leaders both in the executive auction and at the event itself. Hundreds of people attend representing many of Atlanta’s top technology companies. Leaders from the following companies are confirmed for the Executive Auction. They will be attending the event (including the VIP Reception): Amazon Music, Cox Enterprises, Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, Fiserv, Global Payments, Graphic Packaging, Insight Global, Levi’s, OneDigital, Primerica, Rollins, Southern Company, Southwire, Synovus, The Home Depot, Truist, Vestis, and Wells Fargo. Additional companies attending WIT Connect include State Farm, Georgia Pacific, ADP, Microsoft, Norfolk Southern, Rollins, and more!  

What is the Executive Auction experience? 

Atlanta’s tech community has come together to support WIT by offering an Executive Auction. This auction will occur online from April 23-25 and is open to registered bidders attending WIT Connect. By participating in this Executive Auction, you can win valuable experiences with some of Atlanta’s most successful technology leaders while contributing to WIT’s mission of empowering girls and women to succeed in STEAM careers.  

Bidders often donate generously, knowing their contributions will help a worthy cause. Packages include time together as a tournament team at WIT Connect (in the reserved bay together) and a one-hour meeting (held in-person or virtually) outside of the event. Companies represented in the Executive Auction include Amazon Music, Cox Enterprises, Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, Fiserv, Global Payments, Graphic Packaging, Insight Global, Levi’s, Macy’s Technology, OneDigital, Primerica, Rollins, Southern Company, Southwire, Synovus, The Home Depot, Truist, Vestis, and Wells Fargo.  

What is the VIP Reception? 

The VIP Reception is a unique opportunity to meet the executives and leaders participating in the WIT Executive Auction experience. You can learn more about these individuals and other leaders in their organizations and hear about their top technology initiatives. The VIP experience will occur at WIT Connect on May 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., just before the event’s general admission start time. You can access the VIP Reception by sponsoring at the $6,500 level or higher. 

So, what is Topgolf? 

In short, Topgolf is an indoor/outdoor sports entertainment venue that features an inclusive, high-tech golf game that everyone can enjoy, paired with great food and drinks, bar areas, climate-controlled hitting bays, and music.  

What if my colleagues and I don’t want to play golf? 

No problem! You don’t have to pick up a golf club to enjoy this event. We provide food and drinks and an outstanding opportunity to explore the venue, network, and meet new WIT friends.  

What if I LOVE to play golf? 

Fabulous! Be sure to sign up for the official tournament, which will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and compete for one of the top spots. Additionally, you can purchase tickets for our special contests, such as Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Hole in One, which offers a chance to win $10,000.  

We purchased a table at past WIT Connect events. What is the equivalent for this year’s format? 

Much like a table at a gala, your bay is reserved for you and your guests all evening as a home base to relax and have fun. Bay sponsorships come with 8 event tickets and provide a perfect opportunity to bring your colleagues for teambuilding or host current/potential clients for a fun-filled evening.  

What if I want to purchase a single ticket to WIT Connect? 

Single-ticket purchases are available now! All tickets include food and drink, access to special contests, and the option to play in the official tournament. Click here to register for a single ticket. Please note that if you want a dedicated spot for you and up to 7 of your friends, you’ll want to select the Bay Sponsor option.  

Is there a Silent Auction this year? 

Thanks to generous donations, we’ll offer a selection of silent auction items! The silent auction will open online on April 23rd and run through the evening of May 2nd.  

Can I support the cause by donating to the Silent Auction? 

Yes – and thank you! Please use this form to let us know you want to donate to the silent auction. Items that generate the most fundraising dollars include travel experiences, tickets to sporting events, sports memorabilia, and gourmet food and drink items (including wine tastings and cooking classes).
