WIT’s Women of the Year in Technology Awards celebrates female visionaries of technology, groundbreakers in business and remarkable leaders who make a difference in our community.

WIT Girls Job Shadow Week 2017 Women in Technology (WIT) sponsor Workforce joined WIT in selecting talented students from various schools in Atlanta to participate in an empowering week of mentorship lead by some of the biggest companies in Atlanta. The students were paired with mentors from companies such as Suntrust, the Weather Channel, Sage, Secure Works and State Farm where they had the opportunity to shadow their mentor in action. This week included daily one-on-one time with their mentor, round-table panel discussion with company leadership and analysts, and working with their group to prepare a presentation for the end of the week.

Hack the Panther Express

Clark Atlanta University (CAU) and #HackOutNinja are producing “Hack the Panther Express”- the largest hackathon in Atlanta’s history. HackOut.Ninja and CAU are involving students, technology companies, accelerators, nonprofits, city officials, subject-matter experts from the Atlanta business community, and upperclassmen from Clark and other universities. HackOut.Ninja & Clark Atlanta University are currently seeking additional mentors and subject matter experts as volunteers and partners to help make this hackathon an impactful and recurring event.
