Women in Technology is seeking dedicated volunteers to serve on the 2017 WIT Connect planning committee. Held annually in June, WIT Connect is one of Atlanta’s most engaging and interactive events for STEM leaders. 

Opportunities are currently available to serve on a variety of sub-committees including:

Project Management, Auction Candidates, Silent Auction,

Volunteer Management, Marketing and more.

We are looking for passionate and creative out-of-the box doers and thinkers. No previous experience is required but is appreciated.

TAG SOCIETY SHOWCASE

With over 1,000 people in attendance annually, the society showcase is a trade show of all our societies that make up TAG. It is a time to learn about them, connect with the board members and get involved in 2017. So come meet all 34 TAG society board members, check out TAG’s newest societies, mingle with the TAG leadership council, and dress up with your best Hawaiian shirt.

#CANYOUFASHIONIT? WEARABLE TECH WORKSHOP

Event Date: January 19, 2017 at 6:00pm

Location: Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP, Atlantic Station, 201 17th Street NW, Suite 1700, Atlanta, GA 30363

Join MODA educators as we use design to make the world a better place with homemade innovations. Using a 3V coin cell battery, and an LED light, along with other prototyping materials, design your own wearable with function in mind. Take the MODA challenge and create a wearable that solves an everyday problem. Prototype a headband for bikers to wear at night. Design a bracelet with sensors that light up when it detects an irregular heartbeat. Make a pinky rink book light. The possibilities are endless!

We understand the challenges that you face when trying to recruit volunteers. One of the most important and efficient methods of recruiting our students is participation in a Volunteer Fair, allowing students to meet you in person, learn more about your organization and discover how they can make a difference in the lives of others.  We hope you will join us for this opportunity for face-to-face contact with a pool of potential volunteers at Georgia State University.
