Annual Women of the Year Event Recognizes Contributions of Women Tech Executives

Atlanta, GA – September 10, 2015 – WIT’s annual Women of the Year Awards, presented by Cox Automotive, is WIT’s signature gala event that celebrates women STEM executives for their accomplishments as leaders in the technology industry and in their communities. The celebration, including dinner, will be held at the Georgia Aquarium on Thursday, November 19, 2015.

A record of over 80 nominations were received during WIT’s Women of the Year Awards nominations process. Congratulations are extended to every woman who received a nomination. WIT acknowledges and appreciates all the women who received nominations for the work they do and the time they invest in our metro Atlanta community.

A select group of nominees have advanced to the next stage of the awards process which culminates in evaluation by a distinguished panel of judges.  All nominees hold business or STEM leadership roles within a technology organization in Georgia or they maintain STEM leadership positions within a non-technology organization. Winners will be announced in three categories:

  • Large/Enterprise Business, representing companies with more than 2,500 employees
  • Medium/Mid-Size Business, representing companies with 251 to 2,500 employees and Educational Institutions
  • Small/Emerging Business, representing companies with 250 employees or less

One winner from each category will be announced at the Thursday, November 19, 2015 gala event at the Georgia Aquarium.

The Women of the Year Awards gala, which is expected to draw over 600 attendees, has sold out in recent years.   Sponsorship opportunities for companies to showcase their support of outstanding women leaders in STEM are still available!  Contact Pat Hurston at phurston@mywit.org or call (470) 823-3229.
