Atlanta – June 10, 2009 – Women in Technology (WIT) is teaming up with Equifax Women’s Forum to host “Securing Your Financial Future,” a seminar aimed at giving women the tools to take charge of their financial future.

The seminar is Thursday, June 25, at Equifax corporate headquarters, 1550 Peachtree Street NE, with networking beginning at 7 a.m. Workshop presentations with local experts from UBS, Equifax, Chubb Personal Insurance and Advanced Planning Solutions begin at 7:30 a.m. and last until 10:30 a.m. Topics include determining the amount of money needed to retire comfortably, managing health, disability and long-term care insurance, understanding personal insurance policies and protecting your credit when identity theft strikes.

“Today’s economic climate mandates women analyze their finances – not just their household budgets, but their retirement plans, their health and personal insurance coverage, and their protection from identity theft and credit card fraud,” says Heather S. Rocker, executive director of WIT. “This seminar features local experts that will give women the tools they need to develop a solid plan for their financial future.”

“The Equifax Women’s Forum supports educational programs that help our organization acquire, retain and develop high-achieving career women. In this spirit, we are delighted to sponsor this WIT seminar because it is well-aligned with our goal of helping professional women grow personally and professionally,” said Rosemary Griesmer, vice president, Equifax Product Marketing and Equifax Women’s Forum Communications Chair.

To register for the seminar or for more information, go to Seating is limited, and cost is $35, which includes a continental breakfast. Free parking is available.
