stephanie-hillAtlanta, G – October 4, 2011 – The Atlanta-based non-profit association Women in Technology (WIT) announced the appointment of Stephanie Hill as its executive director. Hill’s background includes more than 20 years of experience leading technology and nonprofit organizations. 

“Hill has an impressive resume of experiences which are sure to benefit the WIT community,” said Sandra Hofmann, president of WIT. “She has well-established skills in leadership, and the business acumen and strategic vision necessary to sustain and grow WIT. Hill is an authentic, engaging and collaborative leader able to leverage and focus communities and teams to achieve results. We are delighted that she has accepted the position as executive director for WIT, Inc. and WIT Foundation.”

Hill most recently served as managing principle, business development for Magellan Associates LLC , a management consulting firm specializing in helping companies transform organizations into sustainable models of collaboration and productivity. Prior to that, she served as chief financial officer for the IT Senior Management Forum (ITSMF), a national non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating executive talent among African-American IT professionals.

“WIT is well respected and recognized for operational excellence and advocacy,” said Hill. “I believe that WIT’s mission to develop and promote women for success has enormous impact on our community. Although focused on all elements of WIT’s work, my initial role will be to develop strategic relationships to sustain our programs, especially Girls Get IT and Careers in Action. The opportunity to work with the leadership and volunteers of WIT is one that I am greatly looking forward to.”

Hill has an MBA from Emory’s Goizueta School of Business, and obtained her BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Her previous roles have included serving as senior vice president of Debit Card Technology at Bank of America, Charlotte, as well as chief information officer at UPS Capital, Atlanta. 

Hill will be joining WIT’s association management firm, Meeting Expectations, as WIT’s executive director, effective October 17, 2011.
