The Georgia FIRST Robotics Peachtree District State Championship was held on April 6th. In the FIRST Robotics competition, high school-aged teams compete head-to-head on a special playing field with industrial-size robots they have designed, built, and programmed in six weeks. A few of our very own WIT Girl members took top honors in the competition. We are so proud of their accomplishments!

East Cobb Robotics won the 2019 State Championship! Ariana Garbers and Tristan McMichael are faithful WIT Girls on that winning team. Tristan drove their robot named “Hawking” in each round, and Ariana holds a leadership position on the team. The team also won awards for Best Quality and Best Safety. East Cobb Robotics will be competing for the FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX on April 17th-20th.

She is part of the EVE Robotics team which won the Highest Rookie Seed and District Championship Rookie All Star Award. The EVE Robotics team is an all-girl team!
