The Challenge:

Create a user-friendly, easy to navigate design for the WIT website that appeals to girls and women, creates an engaging experience to keep visitors coming back, maintains consistency and accessibility on any device, and showcases the dynamic brand and impact of WIT

Registration Requirements: 

  • Must be a WIT Girls/WIT Campus member (if not a member yet, please register)
  • Must be a current middle school, high school, undergraduate, or graduate student
  • Must have 2-3 team members with an assigned group leader
  • To enter the competition, teams must register by 11:59 PM January 31, 2019
  • For college applicants, you must be currently attending a WIT sponsored colleges/universities. Please see link.

Design Requirements:

  • Be original and your own work
  • Be desktop, mobile, and tablet compatible
  • Use only WIT base colors (to be provided)
  • Use provided images/resources
  • Design for the entire website and use provided navigation:
    • Main Navigation:
      • WIT Girls, WIT Campus, WIT Forums, WIT Events, WIT Partners, Blog (Learn Page), and About
    • Global Call to Action
      • Home, Calendar, Donate, Join WIT, Volunteer, My Account, Jobs Board
    • Submit Illustrator or Photoshop design, PDF, and PNG files to the WIT Dropbox (to be provided)

2/8/19 Team notified/Competition Packet sent
2/12/19 Information Session 1
3/5/19 Information Session 2
3/15/19 Final date for projects to be submitted to WIT
3/29/19 Winners announced
4/30/19 Winners presentation completed and submitted
5/15/19 Winners present winning design at WIT Forum 2019

1st place winners:

  • Each team member receives $500
  • Team featured on WIT’s website and social media
  • Present their design at our May 15, 2019 WIT Forum breakfast at 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
  • Team members can add the competition to their resumes

2nd place winners: 

  • Each team member receives $250
  • Team members can add the competition to their resumes
