We Reimagined Our Career Fair. Here’s What It Became.

For years, WIT hosted a career fair, and it was a good event. Companies showed up, resumes changed hands, and connections were made. But when we asked our community what they actually needed to move their careers forward, the answer wasn’t more booths to visit. It was skills. It was honest conversations. It was the confidence that comes from being in a room full of people who want to see you win.
So we built something different.
On October 9th, we’re hosting the 2026 WIT Careers in Action Summit at Kimberly-Clark: a half-day professional experience designed around what you told us you wanted most.
What’s Changed (and Why It Matters)
This isn’t a job fair with a new name. The WIT Careers in Action Summit is a fundamentally different kind of event.
Here’s what the morning looks like:
Mainstage Panels kick things off. Executives, technologists, and talent leaders will have a real conversation about what tech careers look like right now: The Future of Women’s Careers: Leading Through Change in a New World of Work.
Coaching Corners are where the hands-on work happens. Depending on where you are in your career journey, you can work on your resume, own your career narrative, or sharpen your presence in high-stakes conversations. You choose the track that fits where you are right now.
Skill Sparks are short, punchy sessions on the topics you’ve told us matter most: Visibility & Influence, Career Navigation, and Tools for Today. Quick, practical, and immediately useful.
Exhibitors are set up throughout the morning and give you a chance to connect with the companies that are actively investing in women in tech. This is not a recruiting floor — it’s an opportunity to have real conversations with industry leaders about career paths, skills, and what growth looks like inside their organizations.

Why We Made This Change
WIT has been supporting women in technology since 1992, and one thing we’ve learned over 30+ years is that what our community needs evolves. You told us you wanted more engagement, more skill-building, and fewer traditional formats. We listened.
