Every summer, we open doors.
We bring together high school girls from across metro Atlanta for one of our favorite weeks of the year: WIT Girls Career Exploration Week. Four days of real company visits, hands-on activities, and direct time with the women already building careers in tech. It’s one of the most meaningful things we do, and we are so proud of it.
Here’s a look at what the program is all about.
What Is WIT Girls Career Exploration Week?
WIT Girls Career Exploration Week is a four-day immersive experience for rising 9th–12th grade girls to explore technology careers through real company visits, hands-on activities, and direct time with industry professionals across metro Atlanta.
The program operates across three metro-Atlanta clusters:
- Midtown Atlanta
- Perimeter
- Alpharetta
Girls are placed in a cluster based on their location, then spend the week rotating through host companies in that area, getting a behind-the-scenes look at technology careers across a range of industries and roles.
Who Is It For?
This program is for the girl who’s curious. The one who wonders what it would actually feel like to work at a tech company. The one who’s not sure yet what she wants to do, but knows she wants to explore.
You don’t have to be a coder. You don’t have to have it all figured out. WIT Girls Career Exploration Week is for any rising 9th–12th grade girl in metro Atlanta who wants to see what’s possible and find a community of girls who feel exactly the same way.
What Do Girls Experience?
Every day of Career Exploration Week is designed to bring tech careers to life. Girls:
- Visit leading companies across metro Atlanta and see their work environments firsthand
- Get hands-on with activities that give a real taste of working in tech
- Connect directly with industry professionals across a range of roles and career paths
- Build community with other high school girls who share their drive and curiosity
- Leave with confidence and a clearer picture of where their future in tech could begin
This is the kind of experience you can’t get in a classroom. It only happens here.
